Rausch Creek Off Road Park

Rausch Creek Off Road Park

Rausch Creek Off Road Park opened in the spring of 2003. Located within minutes of Interstate 81 at the Tower City/Tremont exit (#107), Rausch Creek Off Road Park has 3,000 acres at its disposal for the off-road enthusiast. The land was used previously by the coal companies that established most of the infrastructure in Schuylkill County, PA. The Central Pennsylvania region is the heart of the state’s coal region and is rich with history.

A lot of planning has gone into, and continues to go into, the development of the trails in the Off Road Park. Trails are being built with the Off Road Club in mind. Many of the “club” trails have a lower rating, but have multiple “hard” obstacles as a challenging option. It is not uncommon to see competition rock crawlers on the same trail as a stock vehicle with both drivers attaining the same level of “pucker factor”, without destroying their vehicles completely.

In addition to the wheeling adventures, we have a number of camping sites where groups can plan for longer stays in the park. Camping is primitive and included in the daily admission charges. Please contact lynn@rc4x4.org for a camping reservation.

Adventure Off Road Park

Adventure Off Road Park

The Adventure Off Road Park is one of the top off road venues in the United States. At 500 acres, it’s smaller than most other off road parks. But where it lacks in size the AOP makes up for in vertical trails, epic rock, top notch amenities and ease of access. This park has well over 100 trails. However, depending on the vehicle you’re driving and skill level, many AOP Trails may be out of your reach. The trails at the AOP are rated like a ski slope; black, blue and green.

Camping at the AOP is top notch! There are RV Hookups available at the park and it’s easy to get trailer’d vehicles into the park. The camping area is a giant green space. One event weekends, the AOP has been known to bring in over 2,000 campers and off road enthusiasts. If you go on an event weekend prepare for it to be packed. Night riding is allowed at the AOP so expect people to stay up late hanging out around campfires and riding trails. On non event weekends, the AOP can have a few hundred off road enthusiasts and campers in the park. These weekends are much more quiet and laid back.
